Binn Hotel has called its rooms “timeless” since it opened its doors in 2016, and it’s not just a marketing line. It’s a design decision built into all four categories at the hotel, in El Poblado, Medellín: light oak, delicate upholstery, and noble materials that won’t look dated next season.
One design language, four categories
The hotel has 78 rooms spread across four categories, designed under the direction of architect Andrés Martínez, of studio INTO. The idea behind the project was to build a place of quiet luxury: no visual excess, just a minimalist design where materials and light do most of the work.
That language stays the same across the four categories, but each one solves a different type of trip. The Superior King, at 30 square meters (about 323 sq ft), is the most compact, built for short stays or business trips. The Superior Twin, at 35 square meters (about 377 sq ft) with two queen beds, works better for groups of friends or families who prefer separate beds. The Junior Suite Deluxe and the Junior Suite Deluxe City View, both 45 square meters (about 484 sq ft) with a king bed and a sofa bed, add a separate sitting area, and differ from each other in the view: mountains of the Oriente Antioqueño for the first, the Medellín skyline for the second. None of the four is “better” than another in an absolute sense, each is built for a different kind of stay.
What every room shares
Regardless of category, every room at Binn Hotel includes a floor-to-ceiling window, wifi, air conditioning, a digital safe, a minibar, a fridge, hot water, electric blackout curtains, complimentary coffee and tea, Loto del Sur bath amenities, and a pet-friendly policy. The Junior Suite categories add a sofa bed, an iron, slippers and a bathrobe.
That shared base is what makes moving between categories inside the hotel feel like a change in size and view, not like switching hotels. The same attention to finishes carries through no matter which room you book.

Quiet luxury, not loud luxury
The concept behind the four categories is what Binn Hotel calls quiet luxury: no gold trim or ornaments shouting opulence, just quality materials, clean lines and an atmosphere built to slow you down the moment you walk in. That philosophy shows up as much in the more compact Superior King as in the more spacious Junior Suite Deluxe City View. The luxury here is in the details you don’t notice at first glance: the quality of the upholstery, how quiet the room is, the light coming through the window at just the right time of day.
That same philosophy carries through to the details that don’t always make it into the photo: outlets placed where you’d actually use them, street noise that doesn’t reach the bed, a closet with real room for large suitcases. None of the four categories skimps on those details just for being the most compact one; the finish standard is the same, whether or not the room size changes.
How to choose between the four
The choice usually comes down to three simple questions: how many people are traveling, how many days the stay lasts, and how much time you’ll actually spend inside the room. A one-night business trip doesn’t need the same thing as a four-day couple’s getaway, and the hotel’s four categories are built precisely so nobody has to pay for space they won’t use.
If you want to go deeper into the comparison, our guide on which suite to choose at Binn Hotel breaks down which one fits your type of trip.
Superior King: book this category if your priority is a short, functional stay, a king bed, a work desk, and a rain shower bathroom, with no more space than you’ll actually use.
Superior Twin: book this category if you’re traveling with company but not as a couple, two queen beds and room for four guests plus one infant, ideal for families or groups of friends.
Junior Suite Deluxe: book this category if you want more space and a separate sitting area, with views over the mountains of the Oriente Antioqueño.
Junior Suite Deluxe City View: book this category if you want that same separate sitting area, but with the Medellín skyline as your view out the window.
