The complete Father’s Day night at Binn Hotel: suite, spa and Etro

Some plans sound good on paper and fall short in practice. This is not one of them.

A full night at Binn Hotel for Father’s Day means exactly what it promises: suite with a view, real wellness, author dinner and cocktails over Medellín. No filler, no intermediaries, no need to leave the hotel for the day to work.

Why a full night is different from a day plan

The difference between spending the day at a hotel and staying overnight is not just the bed. It is the pace.

When dad stays, the day has no rush to end. Breakfast is not something dispatched before going somewhere else. The afternoon at the spa has no closing time imposed by the parking meter. And the cocktails at Etro can last as long as the conversation holds, because the room is one elevator away.

Binn Hotel, in El Poblado since 2016, is designed for that kind of experience: a luxury boutique hotel in Medellín where staying is the plan, not the pretext.

The suite: where the day begins and ends

For a complete Father’s Day night, the Junior Suite Deluxe City View is the natural choice.

45 m² with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Medellín skyline. King bed, sofa bed for a third guest, minibar and light oak paneling that creates a warmth the photos don’t fully capture. Fits dad, mom and a third person without anyone feeling like they’re in the way.

The Junior Suite Deluxe, same size and same finishes, looks toward the mountains of the Eastern Andes. For the dad who prefers waking up to green instead of buildings.

Both include parking, laundry, room service, 24-hour gym access and pool access during wellness area hours.

The morning: breakfast and the first coffee of the day

La Makha opens for breakfast every day from 6:00 to 11:30 a.m.

This is not the generic hotel buffet breakfast. It is La Makha, the same restaurant that serves tasting menus at night. The standard does not drop just because it is morning.

After breakfast, the B Gym on basement level 1 is available 24 hours for guests. Cardio zone, free weights, assisted bar and multifunctional elements. For the dad who needs to move his body before he can truly relax.

The afternoon: B Wellness

The wellness area at Binn Hotel has three spaces that work best in sequence.

First, the steam room. Available from 9:00 a.m. Monday to Sunday. A long steam session before the afternoon is the most efficient way to prepare the body for what follows.

Then the jacuzzi. Same hours as the steam room. The contrast between the steam and the jacuzzi water does what no single massage can achieve on its own.

Then the outdoor pool. With 180° views over the Aburrá Valley, available Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mondays from 4:00 p.m.

No need to follow that sequence exactly. But it works.

For those who want to understand the wellness proposal before planning, Binn Hotel has a vision of wellbeing that moves away from the conventional spa experience.

The evening: dinner at La Makha

After a day in the wellness area, La Makha is where the night takes shape.

The restaurant works with Colombian ingredients of verified origin and a cuisine that does not need to explain itself too much. For a complete Father’s Day night, the tasting menu is the option that makes the most sense.

With pairing: $420,000 per person. Without pairing: $330,000.

Seven courses that move from the Corn Crunch to the Coconut and Coffee Flan, each with its own pairing designed so the progression of the evening has its own logic.

If the preference is à la carte, the Grilled Rib Eye ($275,000), the Pork Belly ($68,000) and the Rice and Beef ($62,000) are the most ordered dishes.

Dinners Monday to Thursday until 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday until 10:30 p.m.

The finish: Etro Rooftop

Etro is on the rooftop of Binn Hotel. 360° views over the Aburrá Valley, minimalist design and a cocktail menu that does not disappoint.

Three options to close Father’s Day night:

  • Niebla: Ojo de Tigre mezcal with 8-year espadín agave, pennyroyal syrup and mandarin lemon. $60,000.
  • Revelación Rubí: Bourbon with rye notes, corozo syrup and pineapple extract. $45,000.
  • Silencio: Absolut Vodka infused with coconut oil, thyme syrup and mandarin lemon. $38,000.

If the night falls on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, Etro closes at midnight. Other days at 10:00 p.m.

For those who haven’t yet discovered what the rooftop offers beyond cocktails, Etro has its own gastronomic proposal that perfectly complements a night at Binn Hotel.

The complete day: how it flows

No official itinerary, but a logic that works:

  • Morning: Breakfast at La Makha. No rush.
  • Mid-morning: B Gym for those who need to activate first.
  • Afternoon: Steam room, jacuzzi and pool at B Wellness.
  • Evening: Dinner at La Makha.
  • After dinner: Cocktails at Etro Rooftop.
  • Always available: The suite, the minibar and room service.

The hotel does not need you to leave for the day to work. That is what makes a full night different.
